Serious survey ~ If you are upset: Do you expect your family and friends to support you?

On the rare occasions that I am upset, my partner and daughters are there for me. That support is reciprocated if they are upset and in need of comfort.

Serious survey ~ If you are upset: Do you expect your family and friends to support you?
I think i depend on my gf way to much to cheer me up but she's the only one i feel secure enough to share my troubles with, i try to deal with them on my own but sometimes just coming clean feels good, hopefully she likes that fact that i can open up to her =\

What is the best way to hold a Smash Bros. Tournament? (between classmates and friends)?

I want to hold a Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament sometime around the second week of July. It should be around 15-maybe 35(an estimate after taking a survey). $5 to play and the winner gets 75% of all the money that comes in. This is not a pro tournament but a tourny between friends, friends of friends, siblings, and classmates. What are the do's and don'ts of Smash tournaments? What are some other helpful tips about hosting such an event seeing this is my first time.

What is the best way to hold a Smash Bros. Tournament? (between classmates and friends)?
First off decide the rules.

Will this be a teams AND singles tournament or just singles? (1v1s)

Usually tourneys are double elimination and sets are best 2 out of 3 matches.

No items is pretty much a must.

4 stock, 8 minute time limit is standard.

Do NOT use the in-game tournament mode. It is really really bad.

What stages are available to play on? What are banned? You need to have some neutral stages that are on random pick. Loser will pick a stage for the next round of play out of the neutrals and also counterpick stages.

Pot distribution is usually:

1st 60

2nd 30

3rd 10

But there all alternatives (70/20/10, 65/25/10, etc.)

Match rules usually look something like this::::::

Order of play

Game 1--

Each player chooses a controller slot.

Each player has 30 seconds to select a character or to call "Double Blind" selection.

You may not change characters once it is declared.

If a character is not selected after 30 sec., "Double Blind" selection is mandatory.

Stage knock-outs are declared.

All players must agree to the first stage, otherwise it is "Random" (see Random Select Stages listed above)

If the time limit runs out, winner is the player with the most stock.

In the event of tied stock, winner is the player with the least damage.

In the event of tied damage, Sudden Death is played out.

Game 2--

Loser of Game 1 declares stage to be played in Game 2.

Winner of Game 1 declares character to be played in Game 2.

Loser declares character to be played in Game 2 and begins the game.

Game 3--

If each player wins a Game, a third game is played to determine "Best of Three"

Loser of Game 2 declares any non-banned stage to be played next.

Winner of Game 2 declares character to be played in Game 3.

Loser declares character to be played in Game 3 and begins the game.

Good neutral stages are these 6:

* Final Destination - Special Stages

* Battlefield - Special Stages

* Yoshi's Story - Yoshi's Island (**the one with the cloud**)

* Fountain of Dreams - Dream Land

* Dreamland - Past Stages

* Pokemon Stadium - Kanto

Counterpick stages vary, but some good ones are:

# Rainbow Cruise - Mushroom Kingdom

# Donkey Kong 64 - Past Stages

# Green Greens - Dream Land

# Brinstar - Planet Zebes

# Mute City, F-Zero Grand Prix

# Poke Floats - Kanto Skies

Most other stages are usually banned for exploits/randomness.

Do's: Explain to entrants that in order for the tourney to flow smoothly friendlies must be kept to a minimum while tourney matches need to be played (especially if you have limited stations to play at). Friendlies can be played before/after the tournament.

Make rules clear and keep the tournament organized. Use something like TIO ( http://www.lbpolymusic.com/tio/download.... ) to organize matches and make the brackets for you (saves you a LOT of trouble, trust me).

Have fun.

If you have any questions for me my AIM is: kittieslolz
Reply:The best suggestion I can come up with is to use SSBM's Tournament mode %26amp; set it the number of players that register (up to 64 players).

You will need to declare what type (Stock or Time) before you start registration. Stock is consider a slower pace as each match can go for a few hours. Timed matches are probably better in your case as it gives you a timeline that you can manage... I would suggest placing a time limit of 2-5 minutes per match.

You'll also want to tell your participants that it's a one-on-one, single elimination tournament. So if they lose, they're out of the tournament %26amp; there's no rematches permitted. That you can claim that it's the how the game is set up.

Just make sure that everybody in the tournament places their initials (as the naming system only allows 4 letters) in the game %26amp; select the character they want... assuming their desired character is available (NOTE: Unlock ALL Characters prior to the tournament for minimal complaints).

After that, let the game handle the rest! It'll announce which two players are up (using the naming system with Initials will help) %26amp; may the better player win!

As for hosting, you'll probably want to use a fairly public spot that can handle the crowd you're considering. Also, make sure you have a fair number of spare controllers as it's the tournament director's responsibility to provide working controllers... as well as the TV %26amp; Game System if the spot you've selected doesn't have it.

Besides that... GOOD LUCK!
Reply:Well if your planning to invite classmates, try to host it at school (if its still open) post fliers, and do something like "if you bring game, gamecube, and television you don't need to pay." that way it would be easy to get a lot of player and equipment.

I would go if you were close.
Reply:If i were you, i would lower the entry fee to $3, $5 seems a little bit of a serious pro entry fee. Then, find a big place were all those people can be comfortable and find some side-fun, for those who are not playing at the momment. You could also use the tournament feature in the game, identify with your name your character with your name, in case anyone else choses the same character. DONT LET ITEMS BE USED. let everyone show how they play with no handicaps. an the last match could be a first one too win two times, out of a three match final rule, to make thing interesting. Every match should be from 1-3 lives, to make things short. Thats about it... OH AND THE SECOND AND 3RD PLACE SHOULD BE REWARDED AS WELL. but thats up to you... hope i helped

Survey: The other day in a bar after hours, my musician friends and I...?

...got drunk, and in a contest of endurance machismo, stood up on the bar stools, poured cognac on our bowls and spoons, and lit them on fire...so my question is...

...Would Aloe Vera Gel be the best thing to rub on to soothe the burns?

Survey: The other day in a bar after hours, my musician friends and I...?
LMFAO

Playing Moses on the mountain, the burning bush and tree reenactment?

No, the best pain relief for burns is Silver Sulfadiazine Cream.
Reply:If you want to get rid of the pain, I recomend lidocaine gel, for the possibility of infection... Hibiclense and to stimulate the skin to heal, aloe vera.

There is nothing wrong with just using aloe, but, I know that the other 2 worked on my piercings, sunburns, cooking burns (what I get for cooking bacon naked, thought I could prevent that, oh well) the other two are very wonderful items aswell. And the hibiclense is antimicrobial so it will prevent more than bacterial infection.
Reply:Oh sweetie....you are really out there.....someone needs to reel you in.....protect you from yourself......I'll send some positive energy your way.....but I can tell.....that won't be enough....

Even better than Aloe Vera Gel is Essential Oil of Lavender.....and it can be applied without dilution....better yet....mix the oil into the Aloe.....and a bit of Tea Tree Oil....also undiluted to prevent infection.....Honestly Pocket Man......is it really that much FUN?!!

Personally, I prefer to warm, swirl, sip and savor the Cognac....Hennessey.....
Reply:i'll need to see the effected area to be sure you don't need something stronger then aloe vera... maybe some burn cream, and pain pills are needed... don't worry i play doctor all the time, i'm a cereal box licensed professional...
Reply:Yep! Just don't rub it too hard. But then.... people with machoism shouldn't be feeling any pain. What the heck did you have in your bowls? OMG! I just got it!

Use ice......you poor thing.......hahaha!!!!!!!!

Wrap it in a cold wet rag. Nothing warm, no, no, no.!

Reply:*raises hand whilst jumping up and down*

I'll rub it on you Pocket Boy!
Reply:Try jalapenos and cheese in a can. It has an interesting effect... especially if you're the only one using AV gel while you switch bottles on your friends.
Reply:A dose of stupid pills would help too.Aloe would be a good help it does heal burns.
Reply:taco juice is best
Reply:Yes...yes it would.

HEY have you ever tried aloe vera juice? The drinking kind? it's super good...
Reply:Yes, you are correct; however, keep an eye on those burns and seek medical advice. OK? I am so trying not to laugh......lol
Reply:eeeeeewwwwwwww tomato is good.. lol.. I so wish I was there.. freakin funny as./

by the way, do you have any pictures of it? lol

Survey..Whats the best way to introduce a new friend into your group of friends...?

wait till its the shy one's birthday, then tell your new friend its traditional for the newest member of the group to jump out of a big cream cake naked!!

yummy ........... who could resist?

new fiends a hit, shy friend cures of shyness!!

Survey..Whats the best way to introduce a new friend into your group of friends...?
have a party where you mix your group of friends with your friend. it worked for me =) OR... you could have your friend over and then both of you could meet up with your group of friends for lunch. you could all go see a movie together, go to the beach together, just anything fun. preferably go somewhere fun where there will be other people around you (that way it won't be just you guys and it will be less awkward).

(let's say your friend's name is Julie)

just say, "hey guys, this is Julie. Julie, this is..." if things seem a little awkward, or Julie is feeling awkward in front of your group of friends, start telling funny stories about things you and Julie have done (ex: "hey Julie, do you remember when we went camping and a bear ate all our food?"). just talk about something that will get everyone laughing.
Reply:I feel that if you like a friend genuinely to be ready to introduce him/her to the the trusted circle of friends you still have...you JUST do it! "Hello, Annie, Joe, Bernie, Samantha, whomever, I'd like to introduce to you some one I like a lot; dear friends, this is....!" And that is it!!!
Reply:I like to have a small gathering for wine and cheese, and just invite a few of the ones I think would be most suited for the newcomer. They in turn can introduce him to the rest of the gang and to the venues we support in our city.
Reply:I would let all of them know that I have a friend(s) that would like to meet them. Then, I'd introduce them to each other. I'd tell them their interests and start a conversation that we can all relate to.
Reply:Just show up! At parties or barbecue get togethers my friends who I can count on both hands (I don't have that many to begin with!) are the type who don't pass judgement until the end. They are like me. They just come along and we all have fun!
Reply:Pick a mate you think will especially get on with them then the three of you go out for a meal/drink/movie... then when you have a bigger get together they will know at least two people.
Reply:I'd introduce at a party, and a few licks and I am sure she would be accepted into your group.
Reply:Well, hopefully your new friend will hve something in common with your already friends, so just take them along to the bar or something and introduce - this is....she/he's as mad as us...........works fine for us!!!
Reply:I invite the new individual to small lunches or movies to meet them one at a time.
Reply:take them with you and say this is ... and this ... and this is... their introduced then

That sounds like a lot of work. That's a friend who might do your laundry for you....or wash your dishes. I don't even slice the bread- I just take a bite out of the loaf.
Reply:I agree, the only way I'll eat toast is if it is slathered in butter to make it mushy.......otherwise it's like eating cardboard that gets crumbs everywhere.

Survey: What was the last big get-together you had with family or friends?

Last November, my old band mates and I got together in NY for a big reunion show. I hadn't seen them in twenty years. It was great!

Survey: What was the last big get-together you had with family or friends?
I come from large families on both sides. My dad had 6 brothers and sisters. While my Grandmother was alive, (She died when I was 19, so its been a long time,) we had an annual "family reunion." I knew all 26 of my 1st cousins and since we didn't live too far apart, we saw most of them frequently. Time took its toll, and the cousins grew up and scattered. Now there's two generations beyond the cousins, now and a couple of 3rd generation. Three years ago, we started having a "cousin's" reunion and it has been great fun. This past year, we went up into the Scotch-Irish(my heritage) lands in the NW mountains of North Carolina, in Avery County near the Grandfather mountain, and it's "mile-high" swinging bridge, into the ski country near 7 devils, Sugar mountain, and Beech Mountain, to the little community of Banner Elk. From that get-together, we have now made a family website, and periodically each family updates whats going on and sends old family photos and new family photos. It's worked out great.
Reply:A family reunion of the Deluca and Espinosa families. There were 100-200 people there. It was nuts!

Survey: Isn't it great to be ignored by your friends?

i figure i will have a great attitude instead letting it bother me..so woo hoo it is awesome

Survey: Isn't it great to be ignored by your friends?
Someone who ignores you, cannot be a true friend.

I mean, really ignore you and not just disappear for some short time, for personal serious reason . So, why should you worry for such a person ?

I congratulate you for this great attitude you decided to keep.

Don't bother about people who do not bother about you.

:) xx
Reply:I would never ignore you my friend. I don't know if this is happening with you but I have not gotten any email from contacts question since Monday. That might have a lot to do with it. Hard to find your question when it does not come through the mail. Don't think it has anything to do with your friends ignoring you
Reply:I really don't think your friends and contacts are ignoring you hon. I believe it has a lot to do with us not getting your questions in our email. Hard to look up all our friends and contacts and answer them all when we have to do it manually now. Love honey

Survey on illogical statements! do you or your partner or friends make these?

One night before going up to bed , my husband switched the kettle on. When i asked why he had done this , he replied , " To save time in the morning" .... Hello!!!!

Survey on illogical statements! do you or your partner or friends make these?
how this: i gave a friend a ride home from work one night. as thanks we stopped at a store and bought some things, and he bought me a scratch off lottery ticket. it was about 1) or 11 at night. so i go to scratch off the ticket to see if i won and he said "no. wait until tomorrow to scratch it off because only so many people can win in one day and since the day's over almost everbody who will win today has. wait until tomorrow morning when your chances of winning are better because in the morning there wont be as many winners that day."

in case your wondering i did wait until the morning and won $75. do you think i would have lost if i scratched it off the night before?
Reply:lol your right that is illogical, but maybe to your hubby it made sence to save a few seconds in the morning
Reply:Sure it will save time, but not the house!
Reply:how smart is a thermos flask.

how does it know wether to keep it hot or cold.lol
Reply:Lol, hes a star your hubby.
Reply:LOL... thats so clever!

well a frend of mine showered @ nyt, dressed in his jeans %26amp; casual shirt then went 2 bad

when i asked y he's all dressed

he said "so i can go straight 2 work if in case i wake up early... i already showered 2".... he was nuts! LOL
Reply:Sometimes, yes!
Reply:illogical or downright ignorant? I would be afraid to sleep, maybe warm up the car at night for the morning commute also?
Reply:If he switched the kettle and then transfer the hot water to thermos vaccum flask is really to save time in the morning for his coffee and go with his another routine to make him fast to his job, what so ever.
Reply:lol. we usually have a new coffee filter with coffee in it and have the water in, so all we gotta do is turn on the switch.
Reply:Just remind him that water evaportates...he'll have to do it again in the morning anyway...but....if it makes him feel better!! LOL
Reply:i've done that
Reply:your husband has mental illness. Please consult your physician as soon as possible.
Reply:No need to stress about it.:-) I think basically all of us has the natural tendency to be illogical at some point or another. We may strive for perfection but we are not perfect. :-)
Reply:My fiance sleeptalks and has made countless illogical statements. But I think the most illogical one to date has to be when he had just woke up, looked at me, and said, "I think today we should prop your bagel up with my sword" ...Yeah I dont know what it means either.
Reply:Yeah its like packing your lunch the night before and leaving it in the fridge. or Laying out your work clothes too, to save time when you get up.
Reply:Good one!

My partner sleeptalks. He woke me up one night, 3am or something silly, and asked me... (are you ready):

"Do you want a biscuit?"
Reply:That depends. Did he say his sarcastic "Hello" as he was climbing into bed? and If it was an electric stove turned on lowest warm setting, a large kettle full of water, was up late and so only had a few hours before the alarm went off...this would still only make sense if you have new batteries in your smoke alarms, (which I hope you have recently checked on). I had a roomate once that was that dense...as much as wanted to keep helping him, it was finally just too much to bear.
Reply:thats my dad!!!
Reply:not really but i do do things to save time like put my clothes out ready for work and so on

SURVEY: If one of your eccentric friends hosts a 30th anniversary party to commemorate the Jonestown Massacre?

and calls it a "Drink Till You Die" party, would you go or boycott it? Why?

In 1980 or 1981, I actually had a friend throw a "Drink Till You Die" party on the anniversary of the Jonestown Massacre. He's now a lawyer in Kansas City, Missouri. I'm just sorry that I didn't keep the matchbooks he gave away with the theme "Drink Till You Die" written on the cover, they were kind of neat.

SURVEY: If one of your eccentric friends hosts a 30th anniversary party to commemorate the Jonestown Massacre?
They deleted the question your link went to...

Well, if he were a friend that I'd known 20 some-odd years, and nobody died from attending any of his parties before, I guess I'd go. A little tacky, but what the hay. I'd liked to have seen those matchbooks...apparently a lot of college students did, and DID.
Reply:Sure, I`d go to the party...hey...party...but I think I would bring my own drink..
Reply:What an offensive question! Not only have you disgraced the Jonestown dead, you have offended their living relatives and friends as well. What a sickening thought......you should be totally ashamed of even wondering on the subject of such a "party"....what kind of twisted individual would think that was funny???? How disgusting!
Reply:I'd go to the party but I would NOT drink the Kool-Aid.
Reply:I echo what Loose Change has said I would only go to pay my respects to all of the misguided dead and find the grave of Jim Jones "and" crap on his grave.
Reply:I can't get past the word "commemorate." I can't square the spirit of the meaning of that word with what happened at Jonestown. No fond memories there. I probably wouldn't go. For that reason. A bit too eccentric.
Reply:It isn't something I would attend. It makes a mockery out of the whole tragic event.

I think your friend has a weird sense of humour in a morbid sort of way.

My wife has a problem with me.
Reply:My Ex had a huge prob with all my friends.. =)

was one of the biggest reasons for the breakup, to be honest..

She really hated my Female friends.. Never did find out why..

I never had a prob with her friends that were guys. I know they were just trying to get involved with her. Nevertheless, I got along with the guys; I knew she would never do anything.
Reply:Normally no. 1 of 2 of my best friends is a guy. Although he does have a bit of jealousy issues when I get a boyfriend... it annoys me when he does that.
Reply:Well I don't have a mate YET! But my best friend does and I'm her boyfriend's best friend, I'm not sure if she's ok with it... Uh oh, what if she isn't? I have a crush on him...
Reply:No, my guy doesn't have probs with me having guy friends. He knows I have guy friends who I'm close to.

I'm happy he doesn't have probs with this.
Reply:i don't know and i don't care, he isn't going to tell me who i can be friends with and who i can't. I am my own person,
Reply:Yes, because there's always too many sexual inuendos. But when it comes to business, i'm way more professional than most men. (that's a tough question)
Reply:Hell yes! I am indifferent, because I rarely meet dudes who really just want to be my friend. Whenever I want to have a guy friend, I just tell him that they are gay.
Reply:no he doesn't mind, and i'm happy about that.

he especially doesn't mind the gay ones.
Reply:he gets a little jealous but i wont get rid of my male friends until he gets rid of his female friends.
Reply:She does, but she doesn't come out and say it. She hates it when I bring up the attractive ones in conversation.

I`ll get the bill! no i`ll get the bill! Survey does this happen with you and your friends when dining out?

It is so funny when this happens. sometimes if one is a little short of money at the time one must still say this. I know most folk go dutch and it depends on the company.

I`ll get the bill! no i`ll get the bill! Survey does this happen with you and your friends when dining out?
Its the opposite for me

It goes something like this

You get the bill, no, you get the bill

I got it last time, yeah but I got it the two times before that

I'm not getting it, well I'm not either

Well shall we do what we normally do, we'll have to

Ruuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnn, lol
Reply:Yes.

And sometimes it's anoying.
Reply:You'll get the bill? Damn, I could've had the steak.
Reply:Don't mess with Bill

Let them have it!
Reply:no we always split it down the middle, although ive one male friend who is really tight and he always pays his own right down to the last penny.
Reply:havent got any friends...sit on my own to eat....lol
Reply:no! ive never had anyone fight me 4 the bill! im always stuck with it!! lol
Reply:Hell no!!! If they want to pay then let them pay!!! Lol
Reply:lol no we spend ages working out who had what and making sure we all paid for what we ate. its choas you should hear the arguements.
Reply:I have only heard this when business clients take me out...lol

My friends are all as poor as me
Reply:usually they say what did everyone have and then put in an equal amount of money
Reply:I get the bill, end of story.
Reply:oh ya. all the time. when my parents and their friends go to dinner they always argue about the bill!!! i still dont know why the WANT to pay?? oh well. their money. lol... btw its not me its my parents i dont pay for the meal(im only 12!!!)
Reply:I only know a few people that I will actually dine out with. We simply take turns. One time I'll pay the bill and they'll leave the tip. The next time, they pay the bill and I pay the tip. It all comes out pretty even and these are people that don't "take advantage" because it's my turn to pay.
Reply:Perhaps you know that I am Dutch. I must admit going Dutch became a fashion here in the sixties already, when girls started to rely on their own resource. Besides it was a lot safer..... My lover Mr. Erin Miracleworx, never lets me pay in restaurants, but that´s not what you mean... You go out for instance, wit another couple, and when it is time to pay the bill, they suddenly have no money. have forgotten to go to the bank or worse:"your not telling me your second name is Scrooge do you?" Any excuse will do......

I would not know if it is just my towns people, who do not see any problem in leaving you hanging like that. .... What I simply never could afford, was accepting a drink, from someone when I was out anyway.... For years keeping my distance, is being manhandled up to a point, where I have to resort to my Karate Ma (martial arts some form of ESP) to make sure I go home alone.... Yes younger men too... I would think they have something better to do, than hitting on elderly ladies like myself.
Reply:yes %26amp; I always try to get it!!! I am told that I am too generous!! How can that be?
Reply:argh this used to drive me mad when i was a child.. my mum and dad and their friends used to argue constantly about paying for stuff!! (i used to be ever hopefull and say i'd have the money since noone seems to want it!!..never got it!!)

the most annoying thing is i always do it now.. spend about half an hour "i'll get that" arguements... drives me mad but i still do it!! lol

Survey: What's a good way to break to your friends that you're probably going to be moving in a few weeks?

Survey: What's a good way to break to your friends that you're probably going to be moving in a few weeks?
I think you just did. Let me give you some big sisterly advice. If there is any small minute chance that you can make it work with their father, then you should give it all you got. Every single day I regret my divorce and live with the, "what if's" all the time. I so wish that we could have made it work and not JUST for the kids sakes although they would be a big part of it. For both or our sakes, for the rest of our families sakes, etc, etc, etc. A permenant situation is something that you, the kids, and he as well as the extended family will pay consequences for the rest of your lives. It NEVER gets comfortable. You will be in my thoughts and prayers and I really do hope it works. Those kids of yours are beautiful. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! So, don't look at it as a, "We will see" but a "IT WILL WORK" It will take both of you though and it is work. Good luck. Also, something to consider. . . .most public libraries have free internet service. Our big library even has "story time" for the kids during the summer. . .so, whie the kids wer listening to the stories you can be hanging out with us.
Reply:Mmmm! If this IS indeed you we're talking about I gotta grab the only 2 silver linings here.

Acceptance without judgement

unrestricted, unqualified wishes for happiness

no hidden agenda's

a receptive ear

a virtual shoulder

and someone, somewhere is always ready to listen

....only iffin more real people were like this.
Reply:Well, at first glance, I could say yes. There's a particular online friend of mine whom I always tell personal things to. Things that I couldn't even tell my mom. But then again that online friend doesn't know what I look like or doesn't know my mannerisms, the way I behave outside this textbox and other day-to-day things about me so I guess they don't really know me very well.
Reply:I think you tend to be less guarded with your online friends than you are with your real friends. You're also not doing anything but talking to your online friends and are better able to get to know each other in a shorter amount of time because youre not watching a movie or being distracted by some other activity.

Reply:hmmmmm good question.....in some ways i guess, i would say that they all know me in a different way some know certain parts of my life that others dont especially with questions and answers my "real life friends wouldnt know some of the things my other friends do because they would never have asked or i would never have ask them certain things......hmmmm some thing like that

Reply:I think we all genuinely like each other, and we find time for each other,,,we care about each other...and we don't care what anyone looks like, or how much money is in their bank,,,no one uses you......its like a close community....and its like our own little secret town
Reply:Well some of them! I have met some wonderful people here on YA! Wolfkiss, Sawman, Demetrius I would love to meet Wolfkiss though I feel we know each other even though we have never met! We seem to have a kindred spirit we enjoy the same small pleasures. The simple things, though I am blessed with many wonderful friends in this life most of them live far from me. I live in a very small town in a very beautiful desert. I enjoy you and your questions and answers as well! Happy new year!

I LOVE the online world, I can just be my wacky self =]
Reply:Considering most of the online people don't even know my name, no.
Reply:nope
Reply:In some cases I can be more honest w/ them because I know I'll probably never meet them. And were I to meet them, knowing our flaws and all that may make for a better relationship.
Reply:Seems that way...!!!
Reply:They may know more of my opinions and views but that is only a small part of who I am. So I'd say no. My real life friends know me best.
Reply:Since they only know and believe what you tell them, I'd say no. Your 'real-life' friends know the intimate details, since they have 'front row center' in your life and what goes on in/with it...
Reply:...sometimes.....freaky lol =]
Reply:i think we have a different kind of connection (online friends) than my real life friends and i think sometimes you may feel they understand you...but only from a limited perspective....

Survey: Guys - have you had any inflatable friends.....?
An inflatable boy was sitting at his inflatable desk in his inflatable school. He suddenly jumped up and stabbed his desk and the walls. Running out of the classroom he met the inflatable headmaster, who he stabbed. In a fit of remorse he then stabbed himself.

Later he wakes up in hospital almost completely deflated. In the bed next to him is the headmaster who says to him;

"You have let me down and you have let the school down but much much worse than that you have let yourself down"

Survey :- Do You think twice before making friends?
yup! i do!

true friends hardly come in life,%26amp; when they come, one shouldn't let them go cuz of small-small fights!

"There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship."

so forget whatever fights/misunderstandings happened, just try to think fo the laughter which you shared together, those jokes %26amp; all..true friends never leave, nor one should let them go.

keep smiling!

stay happy!
Reply:No I don't, I have been fortunate to have very good friends, so far no one has given me any reason to have to think twice...but there is a difference in how close you choose to get with some friends. I have different categories of friends, some are just nice to talk with on superficial level and others are like family and know everything about me. I am a very friendly person, but I don't allow just "any friend" of mine to get too close, only the ones who I know to be sincere and who truly care for me. So far this has worked very well for me :)
Reply:I do, and here after i will think even 100 times before making a friend.

Cus some people act as if they are pure, real and caring gentelman in the beginning, but as time goes on and when they become very close to us, they try to show their real attitude which we cannot justify and which is totally intolerable.

This happened to me just few minutes ago with one of my long time best friend.

Therefore, i decided that i would think atleast 10 times before making a friend hereafter.

Cheers!
Reply:no..making friends should be natural..why would someone purposely isolate themselves from someone?
Reply:Yes, I will think 10,000 times from now.

Would you ever date your best friends x..not an old ex but new like 6mo to a year(poll survey)?

never, its a rule, never date a friends ex. unless the guy/girl is more important to you then the friend

Would you ever date your best friends x..not an old ex but new like 6mo to a year(poll survey)?
Even though I think dating a friends ex is perfectly acceptable. Assuming your friend is okay with it, and you were not the cause of the breakup. I personally wouldn't do it. I would always have doubts about their feelings for each other. I don't think feelings die just because the relationship is over. And seeing an ex is always going to ignite some emotions regardless if it's good or bad.
Reply:Not intentionally. But I accidentally dated my best friends girlfriend a few years ago. Well she seemed honest but was not even close. Doesn't date either of us anymore. Too bad for him and I. She was the best Kisser I have ever been with by far.
Reply:If I really liked him and he really liked me back - Sorry but my friends just gena have to get over it - afterall there over!
Reply:Sometimes you can't help who you fall in love with!
Reply:no a few of my friends have actually been in that same situation and it did not turn out good for them at all. The best friends are not even talking anymore.
Reply:nope i would not because there would be something wrong with him if she got rid of him there would be something that is not right and iwoudlnt' want no part of it
Reply:no, i would never. i might fantasize about it, but i wouldn't do it.
Reply:If they were everything I wanted, I would definitely get permission from my best friend first... then I'd date them.
Reply:I almost did that before...But I didnt know any better the girl has some legs u cnat refuse!....But after I found out she was his ex I stopped.
Reply:Not right away, there is a time period for that sort of thing and I believe you must ask permission of your friend first.
Reply:Negative... That's totally off limits!
Reply:Recent exes are off limits if the wounds are still there from the breakup.
Reply:All of my present dates were my best friends once.
Reply:depends
Reply:yea......im trying to date them right now! but he's asleep

Sometimes people are only in our lives for a reason or a season. It's something we have to accept. It would be great if our "friends" were in our life for a lifetime. Often, it doesn't happen that way though. Just cherish the good times. :)
Reply:sometimes i have my doubts about out relationships but i try not to dwell on our differences because that is what puts the thought that they may stop liking you in your head

Survey: Are you promiscuous? Do your friends know?

There was a time when, let's say, I enjoyed the many opportunities that were freely available to me. I think I was wanting to be loved, but just got sex. Except for where maybe one or two of those people were personally known to any one of my friends, the full extent of "Kitty's List" and the circumstances and details of each encounter, will never be known by anyone but me. Now, I would not dream of having sexual contact outside a comitted loving relationship.

Girls will play girls and boys will play boys this time, a girl can't play Chandler for example

Survey: You are an actor, you have an offer to star in FRIENDS, which character do u choose to play? why?
Pheobe!!! Because I am dopey and soo slow on picking up things =D
Reply:i would like to play Rachel or Phoebe because i simply love them both and also Monica. i cant choose one . 1 preferance is Rachel 2nd Phoebe and 3 Monica
Reply:In the early days Chandler, cos he gets all of the best lines. In the later series Joey, cos he gets all the best lines..

I'm looking for a certain survey - you fill in 10-20 of your friends names then answer questions about them..

Does anyone know one of these surveys? They're oh so much fun to fill out but google isn't really helping me here.

Thanks %26lt;3

p.s. They're usually found on myspace bulletins, hence the category this was placed under.

I'm looking for a certain survey - you fill in 10-20 of your friends names then answer questions about them..
Welcome to the 2008 edition of getting to know your friends. What you are supposed to do is copy (not forward) this entire e-mail and paste it onto a new e-mail that you'll send. Change all the answers so they apply to you, and then send this to your friends including the person who sent it to you. The theory is that you will learn a lot of little things about your friends that you might not have known!

1. What time did you get up this morning?

2. Diamonds or pearls?

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?

4. What is your favorite TV show?

5. What do you usually have for breakfast?

6. What is your middle name?

7. What food do you dislike?

8. What is your favorite CD at the moment?

9. What kind of car do you drive?

10. Favorite sandwich?

11. What characteristic do you despise?

12. Favorite item of clothing?

13. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation where would you go?

14. What color is your bathroom?

15. Favorite brand of clothing?

16. Where would you retire?

17. What was your most memorable birthday?

18. Favorite sport to watch? anyone who knows me

19. Farthest place you are sending this?

20. Who do you least expect to send this back to you?

21. Person you expect to send it back first?

22. Favorite saying?

23. When is your birthday?

24. Are you a morning person or a night person?

I am not married, don't have children don't have seams in my "hose" let alone hose, and I don't wear aprons let alone "raggedy" ones.

I can't even respond to this, I guess. I don't think I would have even qualified as being capable of taking it.

I am so proud of how far women have come in a short period of time. I AM proud to say (or not...) that I am the first female in my family who was born with the right to vote. My Grandmother and my Mother were not born with this privilege.

So there ya go.

This survey does give you a glimpse into how women were "expected" to perform, and it kind of makes me want to gag, actually. I don't know...I'm pretty normal and I don't know too many women who wouldn't get at least a little bit freaked by this.

What a great glimpse into the past!
