Reply:Well, at first glance, I could say yes. There's a particular online friend of mine whom I always tell personal things to. Things that I couldn't even tell my mom. But then again that online friend doesn't know what I look like or doesn't know my mannerisms, the way I behave outside this textbox and other day-to-day things about me so I guess they don't really know me very well.
Reply:I think you tend to be less guarded with your online friends than you are with your real friends. You're also not doing anything but talking to your online friends and are better able to get to know each other in a shorter amount of time because youre not watching a movie or being distracted by some other activity.

Reply:hmmmmm good question.....in some ways i guess, i would say that they all know me in a different way some know certain parts of my life that others dont especially with questions and answers my "real life friends wouldnt know some of the things my other friends do because they would never have asked or i would never have ask them certain things......hmmmm some thing like that

Reply:I think we all genuinely like each other, and we find time for each other,,,we care about each other...and we don't care what anyone looks like, or how much money is in their bank,,,no one uses you......its like a close community....and its like our own little secret town
Reply:Well some of them! I have met some wonderful people here on YA! Wolfkiss, Sawman, Demetrius I would love to meet Wolfkiss though I feel we know each other even though we have never met! We seem to have a kindred spirit we enjoy the same small pleasures. The simple things, though I am blessed with many wonderful friends in this life most of them live far from me. I live in a very small town in a very beautiful desert. I enjoy you and your questions and answers as well! Happy new year!

Reply:There are certainly things that I tell some of you guys on here that I don't tell my "real life" friends. I feel like maybe my online friends are a little less judgemental.
Reply:somewhat...I feel I can express myself better by writing it than saying it sometimes!

Reply:The friends I have here are the only ones that act like they want to be around me for friendship. My so called every day friends remember who I am when they need something. It's getting a little old :)

Reply:In some cases I can be more honest w/ them because I know I'll probably never meet them. And were I to meet them, knowing our flaws and all that may make for a better relationship.

Reply:They may know more of my opinions and views but that is only a small part of who I am. So I'd say no. My real life friends know me best.
Reply:Since they only know and believe what you tell them, I'd say no. Your 'real-life' friends know the intimate details, since they have 'front row center' in your life and what goes on in/with it...

Reply:i think we have a different kind of connection (online friends) than my real life friends and i think sometimes you may feel they understand you...but only from a limited perspective....
