Reply:Well I work for a major Insurance company and we receive work with a list of names on it and the last names are crazy so the ones we can't pronounce we always call them Smith. Kinda of funny when we are doing the list.

Survey: Do you hesitate to admit when your friends hurt your feelings, cause it makes you feel too vulnerable?

I do. I don't like feeling that...exposed.

So, you have been reading my mind, I see.
Reply:I usually don't because I try not to let it bother me, but if they were really really hurting my feelings, I would tell them. For me, if they're joking, but it still hurts my feelings, I just try to laugh it off. Sometimes I think if I did tell them how I really felt, then they wouldn't take me seriously.

I'm sad to say but honestly my friends. I love my family but they're hardly ever there for me for the good or bad. I've received much more love and support from my friends. I wish it were the other way around. And trust me, I realize friends can stab you in the back, but so can family. The only difference is you're stuck with family.

Family can tear you down or build you up. A friend by definition always builds you up. Most important, is that I have been a friend to everyone in my family, even the ones that worked to tear me down. And knowing that I never alllowed myself to be the same way is a good feeling. In the end, what matters is what kind of friend and family member you have been, not what others have done for you. Be a friend to your family. Be a friend to your friends.

What would you do?
All things being equal, of course. Considering where you like them both and no one has done anything bad to you. These 2 just had a falling out. One was pressuring you to break off relations with the other one. What would you do?
Should a real friend ask you to choose between them and another friend?

I believe everybody should be dealt with by their own merits. You shouldn't turn against some one just because somebody asks you to. Especially if it's a friend.
And NO, a real friend shouldn't ask you to do this. Think about it. One week after you turn against her, they're friends again and talking about you for turning against her.
What I would do is ask them not to put me in the middle. I would let them know that they are both my friends and I will not turn against either one. If one wants to drop you as a friend for that, then she really isn't a friend anyway.
You might offer to be a middle-man (girl) and try to help them resolve their differences. But other than that, I would just stay out of it.

Reply:No a real friend wouldn't want to make you choose between friends. A real friend would only ask you not to talk about her and not to bring her around where you know she will be. She shouldn't ask you to choose between them when they have the problem together not you and the other friend.
I hope things work out to where you get to keep both of your friends or at the the most important one to you.

I would say that you should talk to that person and tell them that you cant do that and that you still want to be both of their friends but its up to her to decide. Even being a mother I would NEVER tell my children who they can and cannot choose as their friends. They both have one or two that I don't particularly like, but if I trash them then THEY are the ones that they will gravitate to, so I keep my mouth shut and let them choose their own.

I believe everybody should be dealt with by their own merits. You shouldn't turn against some one just because somebody asks you to. Especially if it's a friend.
And NO, a real friend shouldn't ask you to do this. Think about it. One week after you turn against her, they're friends again and talking about you for turning against her.
What I would do is ask them not to put me in the middle. I would let them know that they are both my friends and I will not turn against either one. If one wants to drop you as a friend for that, then she really isn't a friend anyway.
You might offer to be a middle-man (girl) and try to help them resolve their differences. But other than that, I would just stay out of it.

Even being a mother I would NEVER tell my children who they can and cannot choose as their friends. It is a short 10 minute survey that offers a $10 gift certificate for filling out. I have not been able to get many teachers/professors to fill out. I emailed it to all my old teachers, but that is not very many and they did not forward it to many friends. What do you suggest?

I have an online survey that I want college professors fill out. How can I get this out to them?
It is a short 10 minute survey that offers a $10 gift certificate for filling out. I have not been able to get many professors to fill out. I emailed it to all my old profs, but that is not very many and they did not forward it to many friends. What do you suggest?

Well I had a pet fly one time. -Great company and very low maintenance. So, yeah, I think I could relate to a fish. But fish tend to be high maintenance so there might be an obligation issue there. I'd have to think about it some more.

My Sweetheart of a wife is cooking.. I'd help but I usually just get in the way.

Neither......we're going to the restaurant at the Sheraton for an overly priced buffet. Well, it's overly priced for adults at $36.95, seniors are $25 and kids up to 12 are $14.95. Can you image paying $36.95 for a 13 year old? But I don't have to cook and clean for the 3 of us so that will be nice especially since I'm hitting the wineries early tomorrow morning.
But come Christmas I'll be doing all the cooking and cleaning.

3. "D" is a telephone customer service agent. "J" is a multi-faith minister who's outspoken on a number of national and global issues. "R" is still trying to understand his purpose in life.
4. "C" lives in New Jersey. "S" calls Oklahoma home. Both reside in the U.S.A.

Reply:absolutely. interestingly enough, psychologists have found that although most people love their families of origin, they aren't the people that would have been hand picked, if they'd been given the chance.
family is a way of God making us practice patience and tolerance.

you can't choose your family but you can have another sister or brother that is you best friend and you opt him/her
