Survey: Do you consider your "internet friends" "real life" friends as well?

You damn right I SURE do. I only call them "internet friends" because I can't walk to their houses within a day and the internet is how we keep in touch.

I just had a short conversation about this very topic with someone else.


I certainly do.. but I do wonder if that feeling is mutual or not (as in 'fair-weather') at times.





Now in YOUR case.. I have absolutely NO DOUBT.

There were quite a few more that at one time I considered friends but after a lot of thought I realized not only had I never received a photo of their real selves nor did I have their phone numbers, addresses and very few "real" names, I quit considering them real friends.





But there are a couple of people I am getting to know and will eventually think of them as real friends.
Reply:yes... i have some i email on a regular basis, johanna, michael, gerry, gina... along with several other contacts.





then i have steve, lori %26amp; frank i talk to on the phone or thru text messaging....





steve is my bestest!!!! he is an amazing friend and we talk all the time... lori is also amazing!!! i love that woman she has helped me thru so much. i dont think it matters where you meet someone to be able to call them a friend.
Reply:I consider mine that, even if I'm out of contact with them for now. Finnley, BB, Jessiebelle, Tigger (not me, another girl named Tigger), Paul the gay filipino, Paul the other filipino. I sure enough do....
Reply:Yup! I feel really close to some of my Internet friends although we don't know each other...=[ I'd like to meet them! Lets just not hope they are pedophiles! =S But I dont think they are =D





And SOME of my internet friends are real life friends as well so yeah... =]

Of course i have friends on here 2 especially Latina Bonita who helps me with my relationship and gives me good advice. She also makes me realize my mistakes and what i have to work on better with my boyfriend.

Reply:Yep... I ended up marrying one of em. Good peoples all. Kinda like a Bar or pub. Ya pop in and swap stories, laughs and all, but there's still a time when ya gotta go home.
