Has Anyone Gotten/Heard Something From The Government Called The Selective Service Survey In The Mail?

I Recently Recived Something In The Mail Called The Selective Service Survey And It Claimed That Anyone Over 18 Is Required To Fill Out This Application.

It Threatened That If I Didn't Send The Application I Would Have To Pay $250,000 And/Or Spend 5 Years In Prison. And Also Certain Other Things Such As Certain Benifits That I Wouldn't Get If I Did Not Spend In The Application.

It Asked For Very Little Information Just My Name Address Social Secruity Number My Signature Etc

I Didn't Send It And Thought It Was Just Something Stupid Then Today I Got It Again In The Mail Threatening If I Did Not Send In The Application In 10 Days They Were Gunna Take Action.

Im Wondering What The Hell Is This? I've Asked People Older Than Me And They Have Never Heard This But My 2 Best Friends Said They Also Got It But They Just Mailed It And Got Done With It.

I Just Filled It Out And Sent It To Get It Over With But Can Anyone Tell Me What's This For. Seems It For In Case Of A Draft.

I got something similar to that 25 years ago when I was 19.
Reply:Every male at 18 has to register with selective service so if you did not when you turned 18, that is why you received it.
Reply:I think I know what you're talking about.

Everyone has to register on their 18th birthday, incase a draft ever happened. Its normal.
Reply:You can register online at http://www.sss.gov
Reply:i havent heard of the letter u are speaking of but i do know that all males between the age of 18 and 25 living in the US are suppose to register with Selective Service but u dont have to give them ur SS# . U can give it to them but they just want u to mainly register with them. Did it give u a # to call if u had questions?
Reply:All males must register in the US. It is just in case there is a draft was a mute point for me I had my mother sign a waiver and I enlisted in the Army Reserves at 17.
Reply:I haven't and have no idea what it is!
Reply:You don't know much.

And I'm not wasting time to tell you what EVERYONE else knows.
